§  Managed staff of two and reported to the Chief Financial Officer Responsible for the worldwide reporting of a multi-national laboratory products manufacturer.

§  Multi-dimensional reporting matrix included regional, legal entity and product line segments. Reporting consisted of fifteen reporting entities along with intercompany eliminations, realized transfer profit allocations, purchase accounting entries, and currency adjustments. 

§  Managed annual planning with monthly forecasts. 

§  Responsible for corporate financial reporting and consolidation a monthly and quarterly basis using Hyperion Enterprise.

§  Prepared financial statements and analysis for both internal management and external SEC reporting purposes.

§  Responsible for North America segment reporting. This included Newtown facility worldwide production sales and margins reporting and analysis. Spending variance analysis performed comparing to budget and forecasted for each cost center. 

 

        Key Accomplishments:

§  Implemented Hyperion Enterprise for corporate financial reporting including SEC reporting requirements at domestic locations and converted both current and historical data.

§  Developed year-end audit package to expedite annual audited financial reporting resulting in a two-month reduction in the publication of the report.

§  Streamlined consolidation process from 7 days to 2 days.

§  Participated in potential acquisitions due diligence and sale of company due diligence.

§  Global multi-plant manufacturer and distributor of medical X-ray equipment, breast biopsy systems, and cardiac cath labs.

§  Participated in company growth from a $10 million single location privately held company to a $250 publicly traded company with five locations worldwide through acquisitions and internal growth.  The Lorad division alone grew to a $125 million location.

§  Managed staff of 14 and reported to division President along with Corporate Vice President of Finance and a member of the senior management staff.

§  Continually promoted to higher-level positions with increased responsibilities in the firm. (Accountant, Accounting Manager, Assistant Controller and eventually Controller)

§  Responsible for all aspects of Accounting, Administrative, and Information Technology functions for a high technology manufacturing company.

§  Facilitated monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidation of the company and it’s subsidiaries for financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, projections, variance analysis, quarterly corporate financial reporting packages, and annual corporate tax reporting package for internal management and corporate SEC reporting requirements.

§  Oversaw monthly closing of one division and corporate group financial records. 

§  Assisted in quarterly SEC reporting requirements and preparation of 10Q, 10K, and MD&A.

§  Responsible for all aspects of the accounting function that included Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Order Entry, Payroll, Cost Accounting, Fixed Asset Management, and Financial Reporting.

§  Enhanced and refined costing methods for valuation of inventory and products enabling monthly reporting of inventory changes.

§  Prepared state sales & use tax returns and property tax returns.

§  Lead Finance person in implementation of integrated MRPII system (Dataworks / Epicor) with full conversion from prior system.

§  Implemented and converted to Great Plains Accounting Software to fully integrate with MRP system.

§  Managed quarterly review of physical inventory of field service trunk inventory to minimize excess and obsolete parts on hand and maintained accuracy of this inventory.

§  Participated in the development of vendor consignment inventory program at our location minimizing our on hand inventory value and the carry cost of such inventory.

§  Developed and managed Accounting staff for a rapidly growing business with changing needs.

§  Key resource personnel for the ongoing acquisitions and due diligence of companies.

§  Participated in the S-1 SEC filing for the company’s private offering and initial public offering.

§  Converted manual payroll to a fully automated system including electronic time clocks with swipe badges and computer based payroll software (ADP).

§  Implemented a Fixed Asset Accounting system and converted from manual system.
